Jenny is an aeronautical design engineer, and has suffered from RSI-type problems herself for years. She still works in her engineering job part-time, so she can relate to the amount of physical and mental stress that office jobs often expose us to.
Disappointed with many of the more conventional therapists she encountered, with their mechanical and symptomatic approach, she decided to study holistic massage at the Bristol College of Massage & Bodywork, so she could help others like her. Holistic therapists do not (just) treat bodies, they treat people!
Jenny is registered with the MTI (Massage Training Institute) and holds a professional qualification in Holistic Massage (BCMB). Advanced training Jenny has done includes "Massage & Pregnancy", "Infant Massage Instruction", "Deep Tissue Massage", "Freeing the Lower Back & Hips", "Posture Assessment & Counterstrain" and "Sciatica Assessment & Muscle Energy Techniques".
She is also a qualified Seated Chair Massage practitioner, and is attuned to Reiki I & II (Usui).
Jenny also has a Practitioners certificate in Intercultural NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming).
She has an "appointed person" first aid certificate, and of course has all the necessary insurance cover.
Jenny is continually looking to develop her skills and business further. Over the coming months she intends to do more massage & bodywork training.
In addition to massage, Jenny currently enjoys cycling and a bit of swimming and running. Past activities have included volleyball and the gym (classes). She practises Reiki and meditation regularly. Jenny also receives regular massage treatments and bodywork herself, both to maintain her health and to learn from other therapists.
